Stefan, My Epia 5000 (VE5000) has a Trident chipset in it, so I set my lts.conf to X_SERVER = trident
Also, if it is a Trident chipset, be careful what resolution/colour depth you set. I couldn't ever get mine above 1152x864 @ 24bit or 1280x1024 @ 16bit.
