Thanks for your quick reply! Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be my
problem. There is only one lbussd process running for my user.

Also, I'm not sure how that would have explained the fancy floppy & CD
icons showing up on *everyone's* desktop at the same time. I think
there's some Nautilus weirdness going on based on the ltspfs mounts on the
server...

Today I changed co-worker's terminal over to use LTSP v4.2-2 and now when
he and I both log into our terminals then everyone running GNOME
(including us) gets two of the fancy floppy icons on their desktop, one
called "floppy" and one called "floppy (2)". We each also have a single
folder-looking icon called "Floppy" and we don't get more than one of
those per floppy or CD.

And again there are no problems with USB devices which I've seen yet.

The only thing I can think of which would cause these icons to show up on
everyone's desktop is that Nautilus is seeing the filesystem mounts and
because of the names ending with "floppy" and "cdrom" it's using some
special case code to automatically create an icon for them. Here are the
mounts I'm talking about:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ mount
[...]
ltspfs on /home/maasj/Drives/floppy type fuse (rw,nosuid, nodev, user=maasj)
ltspfs on /home/hallmant/Drives/floppy type fuse (rw,nosuid, nodev, user=hallmant)
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$

Also if it makes a difference I noticed that 'famd' wasn't running so I
used its init.d/ script to start it and I logged out and back in but that
doesn't seem to have made a difference.

Any thoughts? Anyone else seeing this with 4.2 update 2?

Jason
