FYI-- I downloaded the vmware server (complete), and signed up for 100 free license numbers - that was all easy. Now, installing it under Winders...
Using XP Pro 2002 (SP2), a 1.9 GHz Pentium-4 and 1.5 GB RAM: 1) Be prepared to WAIT - it's a big download (15 minutes over a T-1, given the restriction placed on the connection by their server.) 2) Be prepared to wait AGAIN - it's a long install process (unless you have a lot better machine than this one.) 3) Be prepared - you can't install the Management Interface unless you have IIS installed and configured correctly. Just go ahead and install with it, it's not required to run LTSP-client (I think, it's almost done installing now.) -Krishna On Fri, 14 Jul 2006, Luis Montes wrote: Jim McQuillan wrote: >On Fri, July 14, 2006 9:41 am, Alfred wrote: > > >>Accidental discovery. >>I ran a ltsp client in vmware which was nice since I did not need another >>computer to test the server. >> >>I downloaded the free vmware SERVER >>then installed it and started a windows session using it's defaults.
