Once you 'get there', will some/most/none/any applications have to be modified 
to use 
pulse?  The description of it says it aims to be a drop-in replacement for ESD; 
does 
that mean that apps that currently use ESD will be able to use pulse instead 
without 
modification?  I asked about this as NCLS but I still don't quite get it.
