I'm using LTSP 4.2u3 with a IBM Thinkpad A30 512 meg of ram as the thin 
client, OOo Impress seems to work fine for me. Just tried it with a 
powerpoint  .ppt , odt and .sxi file.

Shot in the dark how much ram do you have on the TC?
