Ok, I did this. It seems to run fine so far, only a few of the older 
clients don't want to accept it (kernel panic etc.), so I deviated them 
to the older 4.2 - and then there are those very old ones which only run 
with xf86 graphics and still use ltsp 4.1..., so a lot of option 
root-paths in dhcpd.conf.

Tomorrow we'll see how everything works in "real life" :-)
