Hallo I'm using ltsp on a fedora4 (k12ltsp), we are a big no-profit organization and we received for free a huge improvement for our network, after this change my terminal-server does not work anymore. The client try to connect, receive the ip from the dhcp and then I have this error:
ERROR! No root-path. Check your DHCP configuration, to make sure that the option 'option root-path' is specified Kernel panic: Attempt to kill init! My root-path points to: option root-path "192.168.99.254:/opt/ltsp/i386"; 192.168.99.254 is the server. I noted that there is another gateway (192.168.2.250) on the network, if I do not put the router ip in the dhcp configuration file the clients use by default the new one, in your opinion why? If I put the server and the client on the same switch, but the switch disconnected from the whole network all works fine (5 times out of 5) and if I re-plug the network in the switch the client continues working fine. Otherwise the client at random works, but I do not understand why. Where can I look? Thanks, Pietro. -- I will build myself a copper tower With four ways out and no way in But mine the glory, mine the power (So I chose AmigaOS, GNU/Linux and OpenBSD) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
