Yes; this is what I have done to solve the problem: IceWM is the only 
option in
GDM-login. So if the user (forced by teacher) once chooses to use IceWM, it'll
be IceWM ever since.

I'm looking for a proper way to force IceWM and give no options for the 
user. It
was easy with K12LTSP 4.x.x but config files are not the same anymore.
