We simply run the KDM chooser on the boot server. It's a good idea to use XDM or KDM (explained later) Then configure the bootserver to use XDMCP. Also all your servers has to be configured with a login manager that also listens/answers to XDMCP broardcasts. The reason for using XDM or KDM is that then you have use the Xaccess to make sure that users does not get the boot server as one of the servers in the chooser. I would like to use it for load balancing, but I do knot know how. I would like to be able to create something that only displays one (special) server in the chooser. Then if one chooses this special server that application will automatically send the request to the server with the currently lowest load. But I currently have no idea on how to do this.
