Try preloading "by hand" in a non-LTSP terminal:
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libesd.so.0.2.36 bash if that does not work, try the same without the 64, and/or without the .2.36 and tell us the errors. Of course, you can substitute bash with any other command. After that, simply change the script to the simplest working combination.
