I'm having a strange problem here:
I'm setting up a ltsp server (4.2) and got to a point where I'm getting the
error PXE-e3b: TFTP Error - File not Found right after accepting it's
reserved IP
the dhcp.conf at this point was:
host...
...
{
option host-name "client01";
option root-path "10.0.250.100:/opt/ltsp-4.2/i386";
filename "/lts/vmlinuz-2.6.17.8-ltsp-1/pxelinux.0";
next-server 10.0.250.100;
}
after googling and experimenting, i Rsync'ed a previous kernel (2.6.9) from
another ltsp server to this new server and configured it on ltsp.conf like
this:
host...
...
{
option host-name "client01";
option root-path "10.0.250.100:/opt/ltsp-4.2/i386";
filename "/lts/2.6.9-ltsp-3/pxelinux.0";
next-server 10.0.250.100;
}
and the client starts up just fine!!
permissions are the same on both directories
in kernel 2.6.9 there's a file "initrd-2.6.9-ltsp-3.gz" that is missing / or
replaced by "bzImage-2.6.17.8-ltsp-1" on 2.6.17. can this be the problem?
also there are no logs whatsoever on the syslog file. how can i tell tftpd
to log to a specific file (since i dont find tftp logs anywhere!) ??

PS: the clients use a Realtek RTL8139 chip (v2.16??)
