Hiho, this weekend I tried to get a 2.6.18.6 kernel to run for my ltsp 4.2 / i386.
I took the 2.6.17.8 config from the kernel-kit, copied it to the
source-tree, ran "make oldconfig" build the kernel ("make all
modules_install") and run "build_initramfs" from the kit.
However, the new kernel does not boot properly:
Kernel panic - not syncing:
No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel
I find this strange. - I thought the "build_initramfs" script makes sure
the correct parameters are passed to the kernel and match the initrd.
Any ideas, where to start debugging?
Or did anyone build a recent kernel with for ltsp-2.4? - I have trouble
loading the cs4235 module for the sound chip of my NetVista 2800 (which
produces fine sound with thinstation ootb).
Thx.
Stefan.
