There's allot of buzz in the freenx mailing list about restructuring and making freenx more acceptable to the debian repositories. Some things they want to remove are it's own samba, ssh and xorg files so that rather it depends on the already existing packages. Further there are suggestions to move much of the NX functionality up into X.org itseslf. I can see a day when the preferred LTSP connection method will include many of the features that NoMachine offers (Session persistence, shadowing, low bandwidth, etc...)
They are even talking about coming up with a new name. I propose "Beeing There" A play on the title of a movie called "Being There" by Peter Sellers. It puts the whole remote computing thing into prospective. You're remote, but it's just like Being there.
