Hi all: I just bought a lot of 30 Neoware Eon's from a computer referbishing company with the intention of following Roy's advice in a past thread about dropping in a PCI graphics card into these clients. Unfortunately, I'm running into difficulty.
I have 30 Eon 2000E's (it was a all-or-nothing lot, $15/ea), and PCI Nvidia FX5200's (pulled from the old PCs that these are supposed to replace). So far, whenever I install one of these cards into one of the neowares, it gives me the POST beep, but that's it. Neither the PCI video nor the onboard will turn on the monitor, and looking at my syslog of my terminal server, I never see any indication of the terminal having booted. If I remove the PCI card, the terminal does boot (although I haven't yet gotten X working with the onboard, but I haven't put much effort into it, as I have no intention of using the onboard). Any suggestions? Thanks! --Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
