for ppc architecture, I would advise you to go for the ltsp5 way. It 
might be a little bit harder, but it is worth the effort. With a little 
extra time and some experience similar to the one you can get going 
through an LFS (linux from scratch), it is not so hard to build a client 
tree from your favorite distro (I rebuild mine from a mandriva 2007.1 
tree). It is very confortable to just go CTRL-ALT-F2, switch the nfsroot 
to rw, and just go urpmi new package around (synchronous audio throught 
pulse is a big plus!).

PS : if you don't think you'll have time tweaking a ltsp tree with your 
favorite ppc distro, I think there is a ubuntu-ppc client tree available 
somewhere.
