Now that LTSP 5 is nicely packaged with Debian, and with local apps
looking promising on LTSP 5, I was thinking about making the move. But
I am a bit worried.

I have been using LTSP since 3.something. I am currently using LTSP 4.2
All this time it has been a not-distro app. I am worried that running
"apt-get install ltsp-server openssh-server" will mess up my current
settings.

Can anyone give me some insight into what things will be affected?

I am sure I can just back it all up and then just "jump in" -- just
hoping maybe anyone who as gone from a LTSP 4.2 local install to a LTSP
5 debian install can give me some insight.

Currently, the kernels are in /tftboot/lts

ls -l /tftboot/
dr-xr-xr-x 8 root root 4096 2006-11-08 10:25 lts
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   40 2007-03-05 11:27 ltsp ->
    /tftpboot/lts/2.6.17.8-ltsp-1/pxelinux.0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   42 2007-03-05 11:27 ltsp.cfg ->
   /tftpboot/lts/2.6.17.8-ltsp-1/pxelinux.cfg

The LTSP directory is at /opt/ltsp-4.2/ with a simlink:
ls -l /opt/ltsp*
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root  root      8 2007-07-12 09:03 ltsp -> ltsp-4.2
drwxr-xr-x  5 root  root   4096 2006-07-01 13:41 ltsp-4.2

and ls -l /etc/ltsp*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root  178 2007-03-17 22:17 /etc/ltsp.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root  171 2006-04-09 18:56 /etc/ltsp-localdev.conf
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 4793 2005-07-07 23:40 /etc/ltsp-sound.sh
