LTSP 5 will not work on Gentoo, sorry for that: http://wiki.ltsp.org/twiki/bin/view/Ltsp/Ltsp5Status I have made howto's for Ubuntu 6.06 and LTSP 4.x, too. Never mind finnish, you can study my real world working conf-files. These all setup's run with PXE/tftpboot. 1. LTSP 4.x at my home - 1 server, 1 client (Jammin 225) http://www.arkki.info/howto/Wiki/LTSP-Koti/ 2. LTSP 4.x at my work - 1 server, about 10 clients (HP Vectra VL 400)) http://www.arkki.info/howto/Wiki/LTSP-Kokkola/ 3. LTSP 4.x at my work, different location, 1 server, about 10 clients (HP t5125) http://www.arkki.info/howto/Wiki/LTSP-Kaarlela/ 4. LTSP 4.x at my daughter's school, 2 servers (dhcpd load balance), 113 clients (HP t5125, 5135). http://www.arkki.info/howto/Wiki/LTSP-Mantykangas/ And all in a howto, sorry for finnish again: http://wiki.ubuntu-fi.org/Ubuntu_6.06_LTSP42 But I really hope that reading those real working conf-files you figure out how LTSP 4.x is working with PXE.
