I see the following auth.log on the server at the time when I tried to 
log off:
sudo: (pam_unix) authentication failure ...

It is strange. I do not use sudo on our server why or what does try to use 
it?

After I kill the 2 ssh processes on the client about the ldm_socket* 
the ldm starts over only then.
