I run ltsp5 on debian etch and now I am trying to configure sound.
I would like to test the client whether the alsa modules are OK. So,
here are some output from the client:
# lsmod |grep snd
snd_ali5451 20492 4
snd_ac97_codec 82848 1 snd_ali5451
snd_ac97_bus 2432 1 snd_ac97_codec
snd_pcm 65928 4 snd_ali5451,snd_ac97_codec
snd_timer 19972 1 snd_pcm
snd 45412 10
snd_ali5451,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm,snd_timer
soundcore 8928 2 trident,snd
snd_page_alloc 9736 1 snd_pcm
# cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [A5451 ]: ALI5451 - ALI 5451
ALI 5451 at 0x8800, irq 5
# cat /dev/sndstat
Sound Driver:3.8.1a-980706 (ALSA v1.0.12rc1 emulation code)
Kernel: Linux iem-09 2.6.18-5-486 #1 Wed Sep 26 17:21:38 UTC 2007 i686
Config options: 0
Installed drivers:
Type 10: ALSA emulation
Card config:
ALI 5451 at 0x8800, irq 5
Audio devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG
Synth devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG
Midi devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG
Timers:
7: system timer
Mixers: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG
# ps ax |grep pulse
2107 ? S< 0:25 /usr/bin/pulseaudio --system --disable-shm
--no-cpu-limit --resample-method=trivial --high-priority -L module-detect
-L module-esound-protocol-tcp auth-anonymous=1 -L
module-native-protocol-tcp auth-anonymous=1 -L module-volume-restore -L
module-rescue-streams -L module-native-protocol-unix -n
When logging into the server mplayer, etc. seems to work (pavoulmeter
shows the stream) but I can hear no sound.
What else is missing yet?
