the only advantage of using the -server flavour is that it can address
RAM above 4Gig which the -generic flavour doesn't, if you dont have more
than 4Gig i'd suggest the -generic one simply because thats compiled for
desktop use. the -server flavour while it works as desktop kernel is not
optimized for desktop usage and originally rather built for headless
server machines with lots of ram ...
