We are using LTSP4.2 with KDE/KDM. To shadow users screens I am planning to use krfb/krdc. This seems to work out-of-the-box, but I don't know the users display numbers.
If I try echo $DISPLAY, it always gives me the client hostname followed by ":0", but this always fails (presumably because krfb is not a local app). If on the other hand I guess the display number, based on the order of login (starting at 0), and connect to vnc://localhost:3 (if '3' is my guess) then it works. There must be a way to determine the display number, and thereby save me this entertaining guessing game? Thanks, Chris. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
