Hi,
Quick resume.
Server: AMD64 bit, Ubuntu 7.10, Two NICS (eth1 wireless to BB router,
eth1 wired to ltsp network)
Client installed with ---i386 flag
Firewall disabled
tftp is enabled in inetd.conf
Client: Old Gateway box which worked previously as a client with Fedora
and ltsp 4.2 (ah, the days of ltsp-admin)
I updated the bootrom but the result is the same for both old and new
versions
DHCP is working as the client shows the following text ;
"Probing pci nic...
[dfe538] - ioaddr 0XAC00, addr <client mac address> 100 Mps full-dupl
Vendor: 0x1186, Device: 0x1300
Searching for Server (DHCP)
..Me: 192.168.0.250, Server: 192.168.0.1, Gateway 192.168.0.1
Loading 192.168.0.1:/ltsp/i386/nbi.img"
And then nothing happens!
Using wireshark I get the following message continually every 2~3
minutes
No. Time Source Destination
Protocol Info
1 10:25:31.941977 D-Link_26:36:4b Broadcast ARP
Who has 192.168.0.1? Tell 192.168.0.250
Frame 1 (60 bytes on wire, 60 bytes captured)
Ethernet II, Src: D-Link_26:36:4b (mac-address), Dst: Broadcast
(ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff)
Address Resolution Protocol (request)
Tried to do a local (server) transfer using tftp, but this didn't work
either.
Can anybody help or even point me in some direction
Thanks
Joe
