i got an eBox-2300SX that is not booting properly
it hangs with "dhcpd failed error" message
i tried loading the via-rhine driver as suggested on some threads but
with no success.

on the maker's development page : http://www.dmp.com.tw/tech/vortex86sx/
i saw that it uses r6040 module but i don't know how to compile it
into the right kernel module tree
[ i read in the wiki that it is not maintained anymore :-( ]

i got a development image that i copied into a compact-flash and it
booted ok into cli mode
DM&P X-Linux R5.2 XLinuxR52_dd.zip (7.6 MB), Linux disk dump image.
from this page: http://www.dmp.com.tw/tech/os-xlinux/
it comes with r6040 built-in

i also found a puppy linux image that partially loads :-)
while reading this discussion:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?search_id=1407487873&t=21864
http://minipc.org/ebox/puppy-2.14-eboxsx-v1.iso
it also uses r6040 network module

if i am brave enough, i will try to compile it this weekend :-) i hope.

Nadav :-)
