Hello group, I have set up a new Edubuntu 7.10 server and have local devices working okay with the fix provided by Andreas Rudin. Thank you very much, Mr. Rudin!! I now have two issues to address:
#1) The client logins are extremely slow, as I have seen mentioned elsewhere. From the LDM login screen it typically takes my clients at least four or more minutes to boot into Edubuntu desktop. Are there any tweaks suggested to help this? I'm using DIRECTX=True in the lts.conf file. #2) I can't seem to get LDM auto logins to work. I'm using MAC adresses and LDM_USERNAME=xxxxxx , LDM_PASSWORD=xxxxxx in the lts.conf file. Doing so just results in a black screen with the X cursor and the client does not boot. Any suggestions or tweaks here? Thank you for any assistance.
