I have two test environments at home on the one and only Intel Duo 
Core-machine. One is 32-bit, that one is same as yours, Ubuntu 7.10 + 
LTSP5-packages. Another one is 64-bit - Edubuntu Classroom Server 8.04 
Alpha 3.

And I have both working with TCM just following Wiki-page.

For 32-bit Ubuntu last step is "sudo ltsp-update-image".
For 64-bit Edubuntu last step is "sudo ltsp-update-image --arch i386".

Everything else on the Wiki-page is same for Ubuntu 7.10 + LTSP5 and 
Edubuntu 8.04.
