I noticed this on the web sites troubleshooting area "on some occasions, when there is no Internet link or the link is veryyyyy slowwww. workstations are unable to connect to dns server, which halts the login process. when the Internet link is back again, all's well smile (funny)"
Wondering if I should run a local DNS server/cache to prevent this or can I change settings somewhere so the hosts file is used first or? The thing is if I unplug the internet wire (to simulate no internet) all the screens can not log in. But the moment I plug it in GDM works again in seconds?
