This is not quite true, the real truth is complicated by lots of things,
but the idea is valid, and mostly true:

NOTHING you ever type or see on the thin client has anything to do with
the thin client, only with the server

So if the thin client works ... it's booted a linux system .... and
displaying an X server .... and connects to your SERVER-MACHINE (That
runs X-clients on your X-server - the Thin Client Machine)

Geee no wonder people get confused :-)
