Hello, I just upgraded my terminal server to ubuntu-8.04 as a first step to getting local devices and flash sound to work. I set a root password in the chroot and updated the image. Then I booted one of the clients, switched to the shell (Alt-F1) and tried to log in as root. The response was:
'Your account has expired; please contact your system administrator User account has expired' Now what? Just in case, I started again, rebuilding the client, etc. No change. Also: while the client was building, my Spanish keyboard layout on the server changed to US and the font face also changed. Rebooting the server restored my custom values. So how can I log into the client for troubleshooting?
