It's strange, I don't see any commented lines in my ldm screen file on 
hardy, and debsums reports that the file is pristine.

The select host dialog is disabled if there is only one server. So, you 
have many of them, and LDM_SERVER lists them all?

LDM_SERVER="host1 host2"
