Hello community We had our weekly meeting on IRC #ltsp yesterday, Jan has posted the minutes and transcript here[1].
I am happy to announce the availability of first Easy-LTSP packages from the openSUSE Build Service repositories[2]. The packages are available for all current versions of openSUSE, SLE10 and Fedora 9. Thanks to Lars for packaging them. The lts.conf editing implementation is in the initial stage, so don't expect it to work just yet, you will however get a good idea about where the GUI is heading. As we do not have anyone with debian packaging skills packages for Debian and Ubuntu are not available yet, users of other distributions can however download the tarball[3] containing prebuilt binaries, the GUI can be launched by running "mono Easy-LTSP.exe" in the folder where tarball is extracted. I'd be happy to give access to server:ltsp repo to anyone who wants to help with deb packaging. KIWI-LTSP would be going to OSCON 08[4], so if you are in that part of the world, do check it out. As always feedbacks and suggestions are most welcome.
