This is probably to some degree distro-specific (so tread carefully), but for Debian and Ubuntu the ldm-theme is loaded from a symlink at: /opt/ltsp/i386/usr/share/ldm/themes/default Which points to a symlink in the chroot at: /etc/alternatives/ldm-theme Which points back to another symlink in the chroot : /usr/share/ldm/themes/ltsp You could either edit that directory (outside of the chroot - /opt/ltsp/i386/usr/share/ldm/themes/ltsp), or consider duplicating the directory to a name like "custom", and then change the /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/alternatives/ldm-theme symlink to point at your custom directory (remember to leave out the /opt/ltsp/i386 in any new symlink). Now you can customise your ldm theme to your heart's content. Well actually, editing the bg.png image currently has little effect on Debian Etch because of a known bug, which seems to result in a gdm grey background being loaded on top of your chosen ldm background <sigh>. -- Chris Roberts LTSP Version : 5.1.10-1~40 Windows Manager : KDE 3.5.5 Distribution : Debian Etch Kernel : 2.6.22-3-k7 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
