Does it happen on all client till the server is restarted? It looks like this bug: http://devzilla.novell.com/kiwi-ltsp/show_bug.cgi?id=14 We would be adding time outs for the nbd-server processes in next release. In the mean time, try "rcnbd-server stop" and "rcxinetd restart" instead of rebooting the server. > - reboot fixes it. > - earlier during the client boot process, I see a line: > > "Server: tftp. not found" This is unrelated, it is just information message, initrd first tries to connect to tftp server, if it cannot resolve that name, it tries the dhcpd server IP.
