Thank you! That is exactly what I needed! Upon further inspection, I found the 
needed lines already present in the rdesktop script and just uncommented them. 
They simply display a "Press <enter> to login" message on the specified screen 
and wait for <enter> before attempting to start the X session and load rdesktop.
