For reference -
Running LTSP 5 on Ubuntu Hardy 8.04.1 -- current client is a TK-3750/1G
I just today (Sep 3, 2008) I re-created a LTSP image to mirror a customer's
current setup and have happened upon some interesting problems.
Here's the steps I took:
mv /opt/ltsp/i386 /opt/ltsp/i386.old
ltsp-build-client --copy-sourceslist --arch i386
After the rebuild, I have not been able to ssh out from the client to the
server to scp logs.
The result is as follows (consider this as entered on the client with
SCREEN_02 = shell entered in lts.conf):
client shows logon screen
ctrl+alt+F2 to get to a root prompt
cd /var/log
scp * [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/xxxxx/log/

checking the auth.log on the server:

Ok, so I thought "well, if I cannot ssh into the server, maybe I'll install
openssh-server on the chroot and add a user so I can scp off the client from
the server"
cd /opt/ltsp/i386
chroot ./
apt-get install openssh-server
*results are proper*

Has some massive security policy been enacted that I am not aware of? The
previous image I created was on Friday 2008-07-29 13:01. If I chroot into
the previous image, it allows me to add a user as normal.
Any help would be appreciated, and if you need any more data, I will be
happy to provide it.
Joel
