Make sure you're using the correct lts.conf file location.  It should be
in /var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/i386 on recent Ubuntus, and /opt/ltsp/i386/etc
in Debian.  I'm not sure about other distros.

Also make sure that it's formatted correctly.  Specifically, I have
forgotten to include the line:
[default]
at the top of the file.

It's also possible (though not likely) that your thin clients don't
support that resolution.
