Thanks Steve,

I am using ubuntu, latest version with built in LTSP server.

Strangely my thin client is loading fine if I connect an ethernet cable to my
NAT router but if I
connect an access point in client mode to my ethernet port it gets an IP
address, loads
vmlinuz and initrd.img and then stalls with the following line;

IP-config: eth0, hardware address **********, mtu 1500  DHCP RARP

The wifi access point is set up fine as it works perfectly when Windows XP
loads.
