I recently purchased an Acer Aspire One and I'm pretty happy with it.
It runs a modified version of Fedora (Fedora 8, I believe).  The desktop
is a customized XFCE.  The keyboard is pretty close to fullsize, and
doesn't have any weird out-of-position keys.
