I have an LTSP Term 1000 and it works fine with K12LTSP 5.0EL (LTSP 4.2)
with no special settings on the client or the server.  I wonder if its
BIOS settings got screwed up somehow, and maybe the networking is
disabled or something.  You could try looking in /var/log/messages to
see if there's any indication that the DHCP server is getting a request
from the Term 1000.
