Hey all.

On my thin clients, when I plug in a USB CDRW, it doesn't popup on the
screen.
A USB stick works fine, and when I log into the thin client I can see from
the dmesg that the cdrom is detected

linux kernel: usb 1-5: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address
10
linux kernel: usb 1-5: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
linux kernel: scsi8 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
linux kernel: usb 1-5: New USB device found, idVendor=054c, idProduct=02e8
linux kernel: usb 1-5: New USB device strings: Mfr=56, Product=61,
SerialNumber=70
linux kernel: usb 1-5: Product: DRX-S50U
linux kernel: usb 1-5: Manufacturer: Sony
linux kernel: usb 1-5: SerialNumber: 000000000010000
linux kernel: usb-storage: device found at 10
linux kernel: usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning
linux kernel: scsi 8:0:0:0: CD-ROM Optiarc DVD RW AD-7540A 1.D1
PQ: 0 ANSI: 0
linux kernel: sr0: scsi3-mmc drive: 24x/24x writer dvd-ram cd/rw xa/form2
cdda tray
linux kernel: sr 8:0:0:0: Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0
linux kernel: sr 8:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg0 type 5
linux kernel: usb-storage: device scan complete

Now i have no idea where to go from here.

I read up the local device troubleshooting, but it was for LTSP 4.2

So, can anybody out there point me in the right direction.

thanks,

Neil
