May be you use the RCFILE paramter to load a modified xorg.conf as per
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OpenChrome and then restart X.

I may be far off but its just a thought. I am actually struggling to get
the S3 Unichrome Pro to work at all on the thin-client. It works on a
standalone Ubuntu installation and even the chroot has the openchrome
drivres.

Any thoughts?
