Hi

I am a beginner with LTSP. I installed it on Ubuntu 8.10 and it was really easy
to get everything working for Linux desktops.

Now I'm trying to access Windows stations using rdesktop, so I changed my
lts.conf and am now able to use those desktops as well.

However, I'd like to know what functionality I should expect from the rdesktop
LTSP front-end. My difficulty is that the information on the Internet about
LTSP varies a lot, depending on how old it is - there is some stuff about
running rdesktop with LTSP, tutorials and forum posts, but they are from before
the time when rdesktop was built-in to LTSP. I get a feeling I'm getting into
too much trouble, when things might already be "packaged" for easy use.

So, I'd like to ask if somebody can point to me up-to-date information on
LTSP/rdesktop, or answer these questions:

1- does it have good enough performance to use as your everyday desktop,
web-browsing, etc.?

2- is local CD and USB supported? I tried plugging in a USB drive, but nothing
happened...

3- anything else I should be warned/worried about?

Thanks!
