That sounds great but after playing with it for a while re-updating the
image several times I can't seem to get it to effect anything.  Have you
tried using it in "ltsp-build-client --kiosk" mode?

I've enabled the login on the client so I can do a little debugging. 
devilspie is running  but metacity is not (ps aux | grep -i
"devil\|metaci".)  I'm wondering if I have some other problem with the X
system that is keeping this from working.
