I may be wrong, but I think you have to update to 8.10 and add fuse permissions
to the user.

Hello people of this list, i have a little trouble with LTSP.
My server is running a ubuntu 8.04.2 and i have 5 terminals, but the trouble
is that when i put a Usb memory i cant umount in any terminal.
another trouble is that when i put a USB memory on my server all the
terminals can see this device in the desktop, soo what happen? how i´ll change
this?
i try putting LOCALDEV on my lts.conf but nothing change, please help me
