It is possible to use an ubuntu or fedora based client though, and
installing fuse and other LTSP support stuff on centos and then use
centos as an application server.

I'm trying to do this myself at the moment.

Current problems:

Fedora client: LDM does not work well, it shows a blue background and a
textfield, but not text.

Ubuntu client: works well but having some Gnome xkb issues.
Also USB sticks does not automatically appear on the Gnome desktop. This
presumably have something to do with the Gnome veersion in centos 5.3 as
everything works if one use Ubuntu 9.04 as the appliation server (it
uses Gnome 2.2x while centos 5.3 use 2.16)
