I think X11 configure itself at each boot. (configuration is different 
for each hardware on each thin client)

You are directly connected in your server when you login with LDM or 
XDMCP. So you can access all applications which are installed in the 
server automatically. You see the display of the remote server on the 
client (like Windows Terminal Server with RDP).
