You need ltsp-localapps function. Everything is in client side/chroot.

Maybe Skype works with it's own magic, everything else is quite hard to 
get work (hardware, nat and so on).

I have no real experiences; no need for that in work or in school. I use 
  normal fat clients for this kind of heavy multimedia/network streaming.
