On the ltsp server ldminfod gives the available options for language, 
session that ldm will use, e.g.:
# ldminfod
language:en_US
language:en_IE.UTF-8
language:hu_HU.UTF-8
session:startxfce4
rating:96

If you have more "session:" line, then you have to setup your 
ltsp-server that xfce4 should be the default, i.e. the first in the 
"session:" list.

You can also try to use LDM_XSESSION in lts.conf to replace 
/etc/X11/Xsession ... see the online manual (http://www.ltsp.org > 
Documentation > ... )
