Hi, we are trying to migrate from a LTSP 4.2 setup to a setup with LTSP 5, ubuntu based clients and RHEL 5.3 applications serveres.
I have most of it working, but is having trouble getting the right resolutions om the terminals. In LTSP 4.2 it was enough to simply set X_MODE_0 to '1280x1024', set an XSERVER driver, the v and h refresh rates and a color depth of 24 That works just fine and Gnome tells me that we are running 1280x1024 at 60 Hz Using the same monitor with an Ubuntu based client, I have been able to get 1280x1024 at 75 Hz, but the picture is quite blury, and manually switching to 60 Hz gives me a nice and crisp picture. But I am not able to get the client to use 1280x1024 at 60 Hz. If I get it to use 60 Hz I either get a lower resolution or the monitor tells me that the signal is out of range. Any ideas as to how to solve this? (why has LTSP become so diffucult to work with, 4.2 was so much easier to configure, it just worked) -- /daleif ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
