This is interesting. I put the following in lts.conf: XRANDR_DISABLE=True X_MODE_0=1024x768
and plugged into a known-working 17" monitor (native 1280x1024) and booted the tc. At the ldm login the monitor reports 1024x...@75, as it should. I then unplug that monitor and plug in my 15" monitor and I see the ldm login screen. Then, leaving the 15" monitor plugged in, I reboot the tc. I see the boot process and splash screen, but when it's time for the ldm login screen to appear, the screen goes black and the OSD indicates signal out of range, set to 1024x768. Within a minute the tc is unresponsive locally and to the network. So if I boot the tc with the 15" monitor attached, it goes nuts. If I boot it with another monitor attached and force a supported resolution, I can then switch to the 15" and life is good. What the heck? Oh, and I also tried adding two more lines to lts.conf to read thus: X_OPTION_01 = "\"DisplayPriority\" \"HIGH\"" P24W5HACK=True XRANDR_DISABLE=True X_MODE_0=1024x768 but the result was the same. db On Sat, Sep 5, 2009 at 1:58 AM, Peter Stein<[email protected]> wrote: > I had some problems with some newer thin clients using ATI's X1200. > Xrandr didn't work, I got the same frequency error.
