Hi, my 2 cents,
you can buy or rent special equipment by fluke, or if you have a manageble switch then you can see most of the time the throughput if you connect a client and start a download. What type of netgear is it ? if your switch has smnp you can monitor it nagios or mrtg or some other monitoring soft.
